SWINBURNE CHORALE

About Swinburne Chorale

The Swinburne Chorale is a Community Choir and has been meeting for over 20 years.
It is a friendly and informal group. We currently have about 15 members and are expecting to grow this to 20-25 with a move to our new rehearsal location at Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre 2 Kendall St. Canterbury.
We sing a diverse range of acapella and accompanied songs including folk songs from around the world, spirituals, madrigals and contemporary pop songs.
The Choir performs in the local area with a family friendly end-of-year concert.
We also make appearances at local events such as the Boroondara Farmers market.

Choir sessions

The Choir meets on Tuesday nights from 7.30-9.30pm during school terms
Our new venue for 2024 is Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre 2 Kendall Street, Canterbury.  Our commencement date for 2024 is Tuesday 6th February.
Each session includes warm-ups, building awareness of vocal technique and fun singing activities.
Songs are arranged in 3-4 parts and the choir leader encourages input into song choices.

There are no auditions and the choir welcomes anyone who likes singing.
We are always seeking more tenors and bass.
